A curious book. Would not be something I normally read but the title and back cover blurb caught my attention - most likely because of the time period the story is set. I was intrigued by the relationship formed between Jenny and her keeper. Appreciated the realism of eighteen-hundred setting of England. Although the ending was an almost happily-ever-after ending, I couldn't fault it. Even knowing the reality of life back then dictated a different ending, I gladly accepted the dream-come-true way the story ended.
